HOW WE CAN HELP

Nutrition support that meets you where you’re at.

Top-down view of a cream knotted-cotton mesh market bag with woven handles, holding ripe orange and red-blushed fruit that shows through the netting. The bag sits on rumpled white fabric, and the photo is masked into a bulging, blob-like shape with no border.

It’s not ‘just food’. Our health, experiences, relationships, culture, routines and circumstances can all shape how we eat and how we feel about food. That’s why we take the time to understand the whole person, not just what’s on your plate.

Our approach is compassionate, collaborative and grounded in evidence. Rather than focusing on weight, rules or one-size-fits-all advice, we work alongside you to find practical ways of supporting your nutrition and wellbeing that make sense for your life. Our goal is to help you build the knowledge and confidence to make choices that feel right for you.

Nutrition is about more than what you eat.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Wondering what seeing a dietitian looks like?

Our appointments are relaxed, collaborative and centred around you, with plenty of space to talk, ask questions and work things out together.

Your first appointment is a chance for us to get to know you. We’ll explore your health and nutrition history, your relationship with food, what life looks like for you and what you’d like to get out of working together. Sometimes this takes more than one session, and that’s completely okay.

WE START WITH YOU

Once we understand the bigger picture, we’ll work with you to decide what support will be most helpful. Rather than giving you a generic plan, we’ll develop practical strategies that consider your health, preferences, circumstances and goals. Where helpful, we can also work alongside your GP, psychologist or other members of your healthcare team.

WE WORK IT OUT TOGETHER

Things change, and your nutrition care can too. Follow-up appointments give us space to see what’s working, what isn’t and what needs to change. We’ll also talk about how often it makes sense to meet based on your individual needs.

 WE KEEP CHECKING IN

FOR GPs + HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

Need to refer a patient? We’ve made that bit easy too.

We work collaboratively with GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide compassionate, evidence-based dietetic care.

We welcome both private referrals and referrals under eligible Medicare care plans, including GP Management Plans and Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plans. Referrals can be directed to a specific dietitian or to The Wholebeing Co more broadly, and we’ll help match your patient with the team member best suited to their needs.

We value connected, multidisciplinary care and, where appropriate, will keep you informed and work alongside the broader treating team throughout your patient’s care.
